Being part of a branch library, I get exposed to many facets of library management and decision making. I hope this academy will provide me with abilities and skills to develop the areas where I lack in leadership. I would like to excel as a leader within the daily aspects of my work, and to better my time management.

- Although I am not in a management position, I would like to implement some of the new technologies and knowledge in to my own working environment to enhance service to my students, and staff of the Departments I serve.
-My personal private life can obviously also improve, by implementing this techniques and knowledge.
-My new leadership skills and knowledge is going to help me a lot on my 3 months intern trip to USA in 2012.
5 issues I intend addressing / doing differently in my own library, based on the programme
- Blog: I am going to use a blog or logbook on my USA 2012 trip
- QR code: in my signature
- I would like to use one of the Library 2 tools in my Community of Practice to improve collaboration between my phytomedicine postgraduate students.
-I usually do at least one community outreach project per year, and would like to get involve where my newly acquired talents are needed.
-I am going to try to unclutter my work and private life.
-Networking is an important tool in your work, professional and private life. I intend to keep contact with my new-found colleagues and friends; as well as new and old contacts.
